The Affordable Care Act (ACA) created three new MCH-related programs with funding available in FY 2010.
Combined with the existing Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant, Title X Family Planning, Adolescent Family Life program, existing CDC program in teen pregnancy prevention, the new Teenage Pregnancy Prevention program created last year, and restoration of the State Abstinence Education Grant Program, this means approximately $1.2 billion is available through nine MCH-related programs with deadlines prior to September 14, 2010.
These programs are administered by five different agencies of HHS as noted in the attached file.
