Patient-Centered Care: Becoming Culturally Humble when Working with Immigrant, Migrant and Refugee Youth

Participants will learn about the demographic changes in the United States that are perpetuating health disparities. They will explore, through different active exercises, their own cultural backgrounds, and practice the Kleinman and Learn models for health care Interviews. They will discuss a Stanford University case study from “Worlds Apart” to recognize, understand and appreciate differences, and provide culturally humble care.
